Finding Your Serial and Model Numbers

Here's how to locate the serial and model numbers on your Rodgers organ.

For organs built 1980s to the present

Where to find the serial and model numbers
A small metal engraved plate is fixed to the underside of the keydesk. The plate has the 2, 3, 4 or 5 digit model number and combination of 7 characters and digits for the serial number beginning with the letter Z. If the organ is in a poorly lit area, use a flashlight to illuminate the underside of the keydesk.

For organs built prior to the mid-1980s

During this period, serial numbers were placed in various locations on the console. Please check the following:
1. Under the keydesk (see above)
2. On a metal plate affixed to the lower front of the console, near where the keydesk rests on the lower front wall.
3. On one of the inner side walls of the console. Remove the console back and look on both the left or right side walls.
4. On the crossbar, which is a horizontal wooden bar inside the upper part of the organ, or on an inner keyboard deck. Remove the console back and check all sides of the crossbar and the horizontal decks that hold the keyboards. Workers sometimes stamped or wrote the serial and model numbers in permanent ink on one of those surfaces.
