Flexibility

Voice Palette menuWhat makes Rodgers organs more flexible than other digital consoles?

Voice Palette: Rodgers organs have great musical flexibility due to our exclusive Voice Palette feature that stores multiple sounds for a given stop. Unlike instruments providing multiple sets of voicings built into the instrument, Rodgers allows the organist to select sounds from the different Voice Palettes and bring them together into a piston combination. The result is Rodgers offers the organist more instantly available combinations than any other organ. This is technological innovation with a musical purpose.

For example, take one of the most commonly used registrations of great principals 8', 4' and 2'. On instruments with four or six voicings built into the instrument, there would be four or six variations in sound to this typical chorus. However, you would have to wait each time for the organ to change voicings. On the three-manual Rodgers Trillium Masterpiece Series 968, you'd have 27 variations possible instantly with the push of a piston. We believe this is one very important difference in a Rodgers organ.

MX-200: The 1,122 additional quality organ and orchestral sounds available from the MX-200 sound module give Rodgers owners the largest selection of organ and orchestral voices available from any organ builder. By choosing Rodgers, a church equips its music ministry with one of the best available tools to handle a congregation's great range of musical interests and expectations, as well as the constantly evolving worship environment.

Alternate voicings: Beyond the enormous tonal palette, Masterpiece organs have the ability to remember alternate organ voicings, which adds new layers of versatility that other organs simply don't possess. The versatility to support the playing of virtually any type of organ literature or any traditional or contemporary church music is a Rodgers hallmark.

Pipe-digital combinations: And of course, Rodgers is the world's first choice for combining a digital organ with pipes. It's easy to add new or existing pipes to a Rodgers organ at any time. Rodgers consoles are specifically built for pipes and the sound is so authentic it blends well with pipes.
