Exploring Rodgers Organs: Orchestral Concepts

Through this first workshop of Exploring Rodgers Organs, Dan Miller will showcase orchestral instruments. Rodgers organs have built-in state-of-the-art orchestral stops including Orchestral Trumpet, Orchestral Oboe and Orchestral Strings, which greatly contribute to the magnificent versatility that Rodgers is known for. Dan will demonstrate how orchestrating typical organ music can transform it to a new dimension with three examples: “Trumpet Voluntary,” Pachelbel’s “Canon in D,” and “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring.”
