New Rodgers Infinity 361 for Faith United Methodist Church in Canal Winchester (OH).

D. K. Smith Pipe Organ Services and Faith United Methodist Church in Canal Winchester, Ohio, are pleased to announce the successful completion of the new Rodgers Infinity 361 organ and the addition of 4 ranks of pipes, custom built and installed in the church sanctuary. The new Rodgers organ was installed in October of 2015, with completion of the pipe addition in November of 2016.

The new pipework is housed in a custom-built case located in the balcony.  It was designed to complement the architectural style of the circa 1910 church.

Apart from the façade and six other pipes built to replace missing or damaged pipes, all remaining pipes were from a previous installation, chosen for their quality and suitability for this project. Two Principal ranks were built in Holland. The 4’ Harmonic Flute is believed to have been first installed in an instrument built by the Baltimore organ builder Adam Stein, in about 1890, for an instrument in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The pipes are controlled from the Rodgers Infinity 361 3-manual organ with 61 stops.  The interface between the digital console and pipes is through a Rodgers Pipe Integration Manager unit which also incorporates a temperature sensor to aid in keeping the digital voices in tune with the pipes.
