Play the New Rodgers Organs at This Summer's Conventions!
May 29, 2009
A variety of extraordinary new Rodgers organs will be available to play at this summer's music conventions.
Some highlights include the National Pastoral Musicians convention to be held July 6-10 in Chicago, where attendees will see the latest Rodgers organs equipped with ultra-easy record/playback and USB storage. In addition, a new line of small classical instruments from Roland - the Roland Classic Series - will be on display. The Roland Classic Series includes a compact two-manual organ, a keyboard based on the Baroque-era positive organ, and an elegant digital harpsichord.
Organists will find Rodgers instruments at most of the seven AGO regional conventions as well. Special performances and other events have been planned at several of the conventions.
- June 15-18: AGO Region VI, Wichita, Kansas
- June 22-25: AGO Region IX, Phoenix, Arizona
- June 28-July 1: AGO Region V, Detroit, Michigan/AGO Region VII, Albuquerque, New Mexico/AGO Region VIII, Seattle, Washington
- July 1-4: AGO Regions I & II, Boston, Massachusetts
- July 5-8: AGO Region III, Norfolk, Virginia (organ crawl information)
"The new instruments sound better than ever. You really have to hear them to understand what a difference it makes to bring together Rodgers' decades of experience with pipe organ sound and the combined innovative genius of Rodgers and Roland sound engineers," says Rodgers Sales Manager Rick Anderson.
Rodgers is the world's largest builder of stereo imaged church organs and pipe/digital organs. Rodgers is a member of the Roland Group, headed by Roland Corporation, a world leader in electronic musical instrument technologies and electronic musical instrument sales and manufacturing.
