Trinity Anglican Church - Thomasville
Georgia, USA

Just a few years old, Trinity Anglican Church has already established itself deeply into the historic roots of Thomasville, Georgia. Thomasville is a lovely southern town with brick streets, a thriving business district on a charming Main Street, lovely antebellum homes with traditional southern architecture and a rich heritage celebrating the arts.
Trinity Anglican Church purchased a block of buildings which were more than 100 years old that had at one point been active businesses on Jackson Street. Preserving the exterior of the cluster of buildings on the street side, the church carefully rebuilt the interior into one unified sacred space including large sanctuary with balcony, inviting gathering areas, parish hall, classrooms and administrative areas. The whole building is bright and welcoming and features heart of pine floors milled from local trees which, for generations, had been preserved underwater in local riverbeds.
The church members wanted the authentic sound and feel that a pipe organ creates in worship, but lacked the budget and space for wind-blown pipes. After a careful and thorough evaluation of the different digital organs available, they worked with Bob Hupka in selecting a Rodgers Masterpiece Organ from Tadlock and Associates to support the active music program of the church. The organ is the equivalent of 120 ranks of wind-blown pipes and features enlarged 8-channel MIDI capabilities that bring new musical textures to both classic and contemporary music.
