St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church - Long Beach

When Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast of Mississippi in 2005, the entire campus of St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church was completely destroyed. After nearly 6 years of worshiping in a local skating rink, the parish has constructed a stunning new facility on the original, magnificent waterfront location.

When selecting a new organ for the church, the congregation wanted an instrument that not only sounded like actual wind-blown pipes, but also had the latest technology and could be upgraded in the future. After careful and extensive evaluation of several organ manufacturers, the church chose a new Rodgers Masterpiece Series organ with expanded MIDI capabilities to support their large liturgical music program. With the equivalent of 104 ranks of pipes, the organ is warm and engaging and supports both choral and congregational music beautifully in this acoustically live sanctuary.
