Cameron Carpenter Uses Rodgers to "Revolutionize the Organ" in Network Documentary

When CNN went looking for the next revolutionary to make a splash in the music world, it didn't take long for them to find Cameron Carpenter.
This Sunday, CNN's "The Next List" will delve into how Carpenter's virtuosity and passion for music has carried him to the top as a performer as well as a respected voice in arts and culture. CNN will air the segment at 2 PM ET.
"What I'm interested in is bridging the gap between the organ of the past and the organ of the future," Carpenter says in a trailer for the 30-minute documentary. Throughout the segment, he plays Rodgers organs, the instrument he prefers for performances as well as what he uses for practice in his home studio. "...The instrument that I want is an organ that will answer my every need and which will give me something for every genre of music that I want - that will hybridize all the organs that I love."
Carpenter has been hailed for not only his brilliant performances but the originality of his interpretations and his ability to enthrall audiences and music critics alike. He is the only organist ever nominated for a Grammy for a solo album, and at a young age has already performed in many of the world's major concert halls. He was a presenter earlier this year at the TED Conference in Long Beach, CA, and is currently working on multiple performance, recording and composition projects.
