I just got a look-see at "The Making of a Masterpiece" DVD and it is fantastic!
It features not only great shots of the Rodgers factory, but pictures and sounds of some of the TM models... and some beautiful churches, too. An extremely well-done 11 minute presentation!
Although I believe it's intended as "advertising" for organ committees, etc., I think every Rodgers Organ fan would enjoy having a copy. Pester your Rodgers rep to sell you one- the DVD probably isn't expensive. I'm going to see if I can get several more copies to give out as gifts for the occasional visitor who stops by our console after the postlude, wondering where the heck we hid all the pipes!~!
Best to all.

The Rodgers DVD has been posted here, as well as on YouTube.
It's a bit over 11 minutes, which caused some delays in posting on a site that limits videos to 10 minutes! More Rodgers video projects are in the works if you enjoy seeing this one.
Rodgers 1838 Combo
OK....It's party time......Contracts in hand ( but not signed) for new 1038 American Classic to be wired into our 1962 Moller pipes. The Moller had smoke damage after a fire at the church this past December. We bought a new Rogers 677 for our Chapel and have been moving it around as service location keep changing while all building repairs are being made.
When this instrument is in it should be the 2nd largest Rodger / Pipe combo in Georgia. ( sorry, just a proud expecting father). Will let everyone know once the final instalation is finished...

Moller after the fire
Just a quick up date on things......Looks like the insurance is going to redo the leather work on our Moller in the great and pedal chest. They have agree to pay the rebuild price on the 3M console to return it to 1962 spects (OH JOY). We a now asking the board of trustees to let us use the money towards a new "pipe organ console, with some digital voices" AKA Rodgers 1038....Just have to raise a few extra bucks... Any dontations out there????? LOL

Promo DVDs
Another vote, for having these promo DVDs made available online. I would also like to see some full tracks from your promo music CDs made available for download.
If it can't be for free, I too would be happy to pay a reasonable amount and order the promo CD/DVD through the online shop.

Once again...you will see all this in the near future.

The new DVD is great. My dealer gave me a copy 6 weeks ago. I have enjoyed looking at it and have been using it to sell the new organ plans for our church. We have a 3 manual Moller and hope to install a new Rodgers 1038 to replace our console and add much need ditial vocies. The church had a fire in December and smoke did alot of damage to my console and chest leathers.
Because of having so much Rodgers information on hand the church is also buying a Rodgers 677 to be placed in our chapel. This organ will be movable and will service in place of a rental organ during the organ repair time.
Thanks to Chapel Music in Georgia

The church had more than a
The church had more than a fire. 8 year ago it was flooded and needed major repairs. My uncle had the honor to do the flood damage repair and also the fire restoration this year. Both times he came up to me (first time I was 16) and told me: I played the organ today in the Church. It made everything seem magical and we didn't look at the damage as if we were punished but blessed to be able to work in such a place.
But, Rick... you're going to
But, Rick... you're going to miss trying to keep the Moller's air-operated combo action going!! I remember showing a mechanical engineer the inside of a 3M 1964 Moller drawknob console, and he stared a looong time, and said something about "don't they make this stuff electronic nowadays?"
Congratulations on your plans! Hope everything goes through. Keep us posted, please!

Missing my Moller air combo action
Bill,
You are so right. Tonight my full organ piston blew out. It was working fine when I started going over music for Sunday but about an hour later it was gone. Push, Push, Push......and nothing....I'ms starting to thank God for the fire....Now the trustees are starting to understand what I have been telling them for the past 3 years..
Thanks. I will keep you in the loop.

Rodger's promotional DVD
I have yet to understand why Rodgers doesn't make these things available
on line as downloads. Why not convert this to MP4 format and post it so that
it freely available to all? We call this marketing where I work. Once can visit
other organ manufacturers sites and download all kinds of MP3 files. Perhaps
if and when Rodgers get their store online, we will be able to purchase these
things directly. I would love to have a copy of this DVD, and various recordings
of Rodgers organs as well.
