Located in rural Georgia in the delightful resort town of Pine Mountain, Christ The King Catholic Church is situated on a picturesque hillside directly opposite the entrance to Callaway Gardens, an internationally recognized golf and nature resort. A few years ago, the parish began planning for a new church building to support its growing ministry. After the church leaders decided on a plan for a building featuring expansive windows looking over the pristine hills, supported by massive stone walls and heavy wood timbers, they selected the furnishings for the church. When it came to selecting the organ, they chose a 2-manual Rodgers Allegiant organ with four-channel audio system and expanded MIDI capabilities.
The church wanted an organ that would support both the traditional and contemporary music utilized in the Catholic liturgy. Pastoral leaders were thrilled that the Allegiant would take care of their needs nicely and fit within their financial parameters. After the organ was installed, the parish priest wrote to Bob Hupka, the area manager for Tadlock and Associates Church Organs: "What a wonderful ambassador you are for Tadlock & Associates. The services you provided far exceeded that for which our contract indicated. The time and effort you spent assisting our organist and choir, both during rehearsals and during the Mass, allowed us to joyfully praise God through our music. We are proud to have a Rodgers organ in our church."
