After outgrowing their old church building, St. David's Episcopal Church in Kennebunk, Maine consecrated a new church in 1990. The new sanctuary of St. David's is a very open and inviting space with room for growth. It serves both an all-year round congregation as well as many summer visitors.The existing Kilgen pipe organ, although small and challenging to maintain, was something the church was committed to preserving. After visiting the Marshall Ogletree Associates showroom and as well as a nearby Rodgers pipe combination installation, the organ search committee decided overwhelmingly to choose a Rodgers Trillium Masterpiece Model 928 to connect to their treasured Kilgen pipe organ.The new three-manual console provided the stability the church needed while extensive work was done to the pipe organ. After a few months of careful rebuilding, the pipe organ was brought back to life, now powered by a reliable and versatile Rodgers console.
