Three manual, 927 Trillium with Antiphonal and MX/MR MIDIAttn: Mr. Mike Bennett, Saied Music Company/Rodgers OrgansI wanted to contact you regarding your installation with my thoughts and comments on the Trillium 927 that is now an important part of our musical liturgy. I believe that this is a truly remarkable instrument and I want to explain my reasons for selecting Rodgers over the other three candidates that we considered carefully as viable options for our parish of nearly 500 families. This has been my third installation of an organ console in three parishes that I have been involved with. I can honestly say it has also been painless and enjoyable. My search started in early 2005 and I spent much time traveling to parishes to view installations and to talk with the organists who were using these recent installations. I believe your sales ethics, the attitude of yourself and representatives from Rodgers, your product knowledge, and your subsequent support since the installation have been all that I could have hoped for. I certainly have no concerns to recommend yourself, Rodgers or Saied Music Company.I want to touch on my feelings about the instrument and the installation. I am an avid carpenter in my spare time and I have found the product cabinetry to be fitting with the environment for which it was intended. I did not find this from all of the other manufacturers and I would therefore encourage prospective purchasers to look very carefully (including inside the instrument) at cabinetry and finish. The Rodgers 927 feels solid and on close inspection you will find it to be very well crafted. The speakers and amplifiers all seem to be performing well and we will monitor how they fare with time, but they seem outstanding to date. There is truly a lot of sound from a limited size (a function of the existing enclosure space we had available to us).Sound and performance - let's face it, most of us wish to be playing a pipe organ, but this digital alternative to me feels and sounds like a majestic pipe organ in a large building. The samples employed are truly outstanding and when voiced to the acoustic environment, they sound true to the wind-based counterparts. "If I close my eyes, I truly cannot believe it's not a pipe organ."The Rodgers organ is a magnificent instrument on its own. With its MX-200 sound expander opening up an array of orchestral voices that complement the wonderful existing and additional organ tones, from a musician's standpoint there is a wealth of possibilities now open to me. I am looking forward to the start of the new choir year and I will be spending many enjoyable hours over the summer scratching the surface of what this installation can do. I have no regrets and I would encourage you to view and hear our installation at St. Anne's. I think the instrument will speak for itself.Sincerely,John Grigson, Director of MusicSt. Anne's Catholic Church301 S. 9th StreetBroken Arrow, OK 74012
