Calvary Cemetery Chapel-Toledo

Calvary Cemetery, the largest Catholic cemetery in Toledo, Ohio, sits on 140 acres of beautiful rolling land in the very heart of Toledo. Founded in 1886, the cemetery has recorded over 102,000 interments including many prominent Toledo residents.

Calvary’s beautiful Rotunda Mausoleum/Chapel (with a seating capacity for 200) features a new Rodgers Insignia 548 organ. The instrument is mounted on a custom rolling platform for effortless positioning within the chapel. The Very Reverend Michael Billian, Episcopal Vicar for The Diocese of Toledo, remarked, “We selected the Rodgers 548 for its ease of use and outstanding pipe-like sound; it is a welcome addition to this magnificent chapel.” Visiting organists will find the 548 an easy instrument to play with a very complete organ specification, built-in orchestral voices and tranposer, all in an AGO spec console.
