The new Masterpiece 1038 custom Rodgers organ is located in the home church of Rodgers salesman Al Murrell. Al has been working with the committee at Trinity since 1995, presenting numerous options they could consider with respect to either replacing or enlarging the 1962 Reuter 3-manual 29-rank pipe organ. Trinity UMC is an 800 seat Gothic sanctuary and a much larger organ was necessary to provide the versatility needed for their music program.

Finally in 2008 the church was ready to move forward with seeking approval for a new console with digital pipe samples to be interfaced to the rebuilt Reuter organ. The committee examined the two major digital organ companies and after a flight to Baltimore to see and hear several Rodgers hybrid organs by R. A. Daffer Church Organs, Inc. they returned to Sumter and voted to have Rodgers build their new organ and for R. A. Daffer Church Organs, Inc. to do the installation.

The new console has the custom Gothic case, Hesco II mechanical drawknobs, solid wood keys, a new antiphonal division with Ruffatti facade pipes to cover the speakers and a Rodgers MX-200 MIDI sound module. All 29 ranks of the Reuter organ were retained and are playable.

On September 20, 2009, Maestro Hector Olivera played the dedication concert and on February 21, 2010, Felix Hell will play another concert.
