An Artist 599 Concert & Choral Compline at Our Lady of China Church, Hong Kong!

"Bless the Lord, My Soul" Concert & Choral Compline was hosted at Our Lady of China Church, Hong Kong. The beautiful event featured the Rodgers Artist Series 599 organ and was a Hong Kong-Canadian Sacred Music Exchange Featuring Babεl (Dr. Elaine Choi, Music Director) and Vox Antiqua (Andrew Leung, Music Director).

Andrew Leung, Music Director, and Conductor shared his experience with the three-manual addition to the church: “[The Rodgers Artist 599 organ] has added so much to our liturgical life! It is truly an outstanding instrument for us. It creates a sublime and uplifting atmosphere for the liturgical celebrations. It also adds much color to our choral singing, and it encourages and helps support congregational participation.”

Organist Ivan Leung, adds"the organ is simply sensational, contains a spectrum of color to be mixed."

For the Organ Dedication & Recital, Organist Ivan Leung played Maurice Duruflé's organ variations on the famous Gregorian chant to the Holy Spirit: "Veni Creator Spiritus". The choir chanted the hymn between movements. This video was recorded live. Follow the link to view the Facebook video here.
