Cabinetry-Wood Quality Specialist

The Role
We are seeking a Cabinetry-Wood Quality Specialist to serve as a final gatekeeper of excellence, performing inspections, minor wood touch-up, and expert color matching to meet our high standards.

Primary Responsibilities
- Aesthetic & Structural Inspection: Evaluate incoming wooden components for cracks, chips, warping, or finish inconsistencies.
- Precision Restoration: Execute repairs using sanding, filling, gluing, and structural clamping techniques.
- Cabinetry Assembly: Assemble custom cabinetry components according to drawings, measurements, and shop specifications.
- Color Matching: Blend stains, finishes, and textures to ensure a seamless transition with original surfaces.
- Technical Fabrication: Safely use hand tools and power equipment, including chisels, planes, routers, sanders, and saws.
- International Collaboration: Complete inspection reports and collaborate onsite with production and assembly teams.
- Operational Excellence: Maintain repair records, inventory data, and a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in woodworking, carpentry, cabinet repair, or furniture restoration is required.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of wood types, adhesives, finishes, and repair techniques.
- Refinement Skills: Ability to identify subtle defects and determine appropriate restoration methods.
- Color Expertise: Demonstrated ability to match existing wood color using touch-up materials.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Professional Integrity: Reliable, self-motivated, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in wood surface repair or millwork.
