Rodgers Infinity Organ Installed at Saint John Neumann Catholic Church
Congratulations Saint John Neumann Roman Catholic Church
North Las Vegas, Nevada
The life of Saint John Neumann Parish began in 1998, after the Bishop of the Las Vegas Diocese commissioned the beginning of a new parish to accommodate the rapidly growing community of North Las Vegas.
Fast forward twenty-five years, when Bob Tall and Bob Knight of Knight Organ Company were invited by Pastor Marc Howes to propose a design for the “perfect organ” into the building plans.
Part of Father Howes’ vision was to create a speaking pipe facade that would appear to be floating without the support of a windchest. Knight Organ Company was able to bring that vision to reality, complete with a custom 489 console to control the hybrid organ of six pipe ranks.
The Rodgers Infinity organ was dedicated in concert by Maestro Hector Olivera in front of an audience of more than 1,000 guests before the building itself was dedicated.
Special thanks to Nelson Dodge, who welcomed key members of the local AGO chapter and will be representing the Las Vegas territory going forward.
