Rodgers Imagine Installed at First Presbyterian Church of Farmington Hills, Michigan

A three-manual Rodgers Imagine Series organ now graces the chancel of First Presbyterian Church in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

In a sobering reminder of the importance of surge protection, the church found itself needing to replace its Trillium 967 console. Originally installed in 2004 as part of a custom hybrid system with 27 ranks of Reuter pipes, the instrument ultimately sustained damage from multiple electrical surge events over several years.

Installed by Steinway Piano Gallery Detroit, with tonal finishing by Ted Good, the new Imagine organ brings the Reuter pipework back to life with a robust, cohesive ensemble sound. Wind-blown foundation choruses across all divisions provide depth and clarity, supporting a wide range of repertoire and worship needs.

Music Director Peter Cartwright appreciates the expanded creative possibilities offered by the instrument, including Rodgers’ Voice Palette, extensive organ stop resources, and orchestral voice library.
